Hammer will not Keep Reward Money Convicted Ashe County murderer Freddie Hammer will not be able to collect reward money after telling authorities where he hid the body of a man he killed.
As previously reported, Hammer had requested the $15,000 in reward money offered from the victim, Jimmy Blevins’, family.
Monte Mitchell of the Winston Salem Journal reports Superior Court Judge Ed Gregory ordered on Monday that the reward money be returned to the Blevins’ family.
Blevins’ body was found in a pit in August of last year.

Wilson's Ridge road Blocked
6:55am Wilson's Ridge Road on the Deerfield side is blocked...a single car accident causing the blockage. Callers report the State Patrol putting out flares and closing off traffic and the Sheriff's Department reports that wreckers are on the scene, and should have the road cleared soon.
