Women in Motion 3.0 Set for August 17

BOONE, N.C. – App State's Women in Motion initiative returns for its third annual event on Saturday, August 17. The event will be held in the Grandview Ballroom of Kidd Brewer Stadium's North End Zone facility at 6 p.m.
 
App State’s signature fundraising event in support of women's athletics will feature a cocktail hour celebration, student-athlete reflections and a game day-themed fashion show highlighting current student-athletes and local boutiques. Attendees are encouraged to wear their favorite game day attire and join the Mountaineers after an afternoon of fun at FanFest (more FanFest details will be announced soon).

“We’re excited to host Women in Motion 3.0 this August,” Senior Associate Athletics Director Sarah Strickland said. “App State Athletics created this signature initiative because of our belief in empowering and creating networks for Mountaineer women. The event supports a scholarship fund to enhance education and provide a world-class experience for female student-athletes. The first two years were a blast, and we look forward to 3.0 being the best one yet.”

Women in Motion was launched in 2022, establishing the Women in Motion Scholarship Fund while celebrating the incredible Mountaineer women who paved the way for current and future student-athletes.
