Banner Elk Man Charged with Secret Peeping

The McDowell County Sheriff's Office has arrested a Banner Elk man and charged him with Secret Peeping which is a felony.
On August 24, a McDowell Detective received a report from the Watauga County Sheriff's Office in reference to an Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force case that was initiated in Watauga.
While investigating 34-year-old Bryant Andrew Cook for an unrelated incident, a discovery was made on his phone involving an underage female taking a shower that originated in McDowell County.
After his arrest, Cook was given a $5,000 secured bond.
