Neighborhood Meeting for Conditional Rezoning – Shoppes on the Parkway

A neighborhood informational meeting will be held at Blowing Rock Town Hall on Thursday, February 13, 2025 at 5:00 PM for the following item:

1. Conditional Rezoning (GB to CZ-GB, General Business) – Shoppes on the Parkway

Shoppes on the Parkway, LLC is requesting a conditional rezoning of the Shoppes on the Parkway property at 278 Shoppes on the Parkway Road from GB, General Business to Conditional Zoning – General Business (CZ-GB). The Applicant is requesting to redevelop the property from a single-level retail center to a mixed-use development with retail, restaurants, and residential. The Applicant is seeking approval of Phase 1A at this time but is sharing the entire Master Plan with the community for future long-term expectations. The property is further identified by Watauga County PIN 2818-10-4788-000.

This meeting is for informational purposes and for the exchange of questions and concerns about the proposed conditional rezoning request. A Planning Board meeting will be scheduled to follow for public comment and a public hearing will be scheduled for Town Council review and consideration. Written comments may also be submitted to the Planning Board, PO Box 47, Blowing Rock, NC, 28605. Plans for the proposed development are available for public inspection at the Town Office during normal business hours; or questions may be directed to the Planning Director at (828) 295-5240.

The neighborhood meeting will be held at the Blowing Rock Town Hall at 1036 Main Street. The Town Hall is ADA accessible.
