BLOWING ROCK TOWN OFFICES UPDATE

OFFICE CLOSURE:

- Closing at 3 PM today

- Due to incoming snow accumulation

App State - On Friday, Feb. 6, at 2 p.m., Boone campus classes will move to online instruction.

Condition 1 (Reduced Operations) is in effect in Boone beginning Friday, Feb. 6, at 2 p.m. until Saturday, Feb. 7, at noon.

**Update to Operation of Schools 2/6/2026**

Weather forecasts are now showing high confidence of snowfall beginning around noon. Road conditions between 2 and 4 p.m. are predicted to be hazardous preventing a safe early dismissal. Therefore, Watauga County Schools will now be closed for students on Friday, Feb. 6. It will be an Optional Teacher Workday and there will be no remote instruction for students. To ensure safe travel to work, staff may report on a two-hour delay. Again, there will be no school for students.

The Holiday/ Snow Day Program at Hardin Park School is scheduled to open at 9 a.m.
