Who Is Closed Today?
Due to icy conditions, AppalCART bus routes will be on a 1 hour delay. Check messages in the ETA SPOT App for limited service and/or route detours.
Wilkes County Schools will plan to operate on a 2 hour delay for students and staff tomorrow, Tuesday, December 9. This will allow us time to further assess road conditions. As a reminder, buses do not leave schools before 7:45 am on 2 hour delay days. If conditions are worse than expected, a decision will be made around 7:00 am and you will be contacted. If conditions in the morning warrant a closure, tomorrow will become a Remote Learning Day. Thank you for your understanding as we try to keep you informed in advance while maintaining the safety of our students and staff.
Due to weather conditions, Avery County Schools will have a remote learning day tomorrow, Dec. 9, 2025. Staff will report to work on a 2-hour delay.

To ensure the safety of our students and staff, Caldwell County Schools will operate on a 3-hour delay on Tuesday, December 9 for students and staff.
Johnson County TN Schools closed for Tuesday Dec 9
Due to inclement weather the Watauga Campus of CCC and T I will open at 10AM on Tuesday, December 9, 2025.
WCS will be closed for students. It will be an Optional WD for teachers. Holiday/ Snowday at HP will open at 9A
