Raleigh Bell Ringers are hitting the High-Country
The internationally acclaimed community hand choir the Raleigh Ringers will be giving a free concert on September 10 at 7 PM in Banner Elk at the Hayes auditorium.
The choir performs for concert audiences in many varying styles of sacred and secular music including rock ‘n’ roll and pop tunes played only with hand bells. In addition to the concert they will also be holding a free workshop that afternoon, both of said events are sponsored by the Banner Elk Presbyterian Church. Upcoming performances by the ringers include flight of the bumblebee by Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov and stars and stripes forever by John Philip Sousa.
The Raleigh ringers have one of the most extensive collections of Belle like instruments in the world. Being that the concert is free you will not have to pay for tickets or reservations in advance. There will also be free parking available on campus and at the Banner Elk Presbyterian Church.
