The Boone Sunrise Rotary Club recently presented Jim Deal with their Lifetime Community Service award.
It is only the fourth time the honor has been awarded by Boone Sunrise Rotary in its 36 year history.
Deal is a partner in the Deal, Moseley, & Smith law firm and has served on the Watauga County Board of Commissioners, the Watauga Board of Education, as well as Appalachian State's Board of Trustees and the UNC Board of Governors, and is tied to long list of community service accomplishments, awards, and recognition.
Deal is an eighth generation resident whose family dates back to the 1790s in Watauga County.
