High Country Caregivers host Annual Golf Tournament to support local families
High Country Caregivers (HCC), a non-profit organization that provides support for families who face the struggles of kinship care, will be hosting the second annual coaches’ invitational golf tournament this spring.
The tournament, organized by Coach Jerry Moore, will take place on May 8 and 9 at the Blowing Rock Country Club. All proceeds will go towards HCC programs, including recreation and sports fees, legal fees, education, and family development. The families supported by HCC receive no government aid and are typically composed of single grandmothers raising multiple children. The tournament will consist of a dinner and a silent auction on May 8, featuring keynote speaker Mack Brown, national championship winner and coach of UNC Tar Heels football, and a round of golf on May 9. Each participating team will be assigned a celebrity coach or athlete to join them in support of High Country Caregivers. The tournament is limited to the first 18 teams, and awards will be given for longest drive and putting. For more information and registration, visit High Country Caregivers' website or contact them by phone or email.
