After a long hiatus, the American Legion Post is reopening its doors
After a long hiatus, the American Legion Post is finally reopening its doors to the public.
To kick off their grand return, the post will be serving a delicious country breakfast on Saturday, March 18th from 7 to 9:00. For just $10, guests can indulge in a mouth-watering meal consisting of bacon, sausage, country ham, scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy, grits, hash browns, and more. Bald Guy, a local legend, will be providing coffee for the event. To find the post, simply turn on Grand Blvd. at the Jones House from King St., go up the hill, and turn left on Bear Trail. The parking lot will be on the left. In addition, on Thursday, March 16th at 10:00, veterans are invited to a Coffee Social at the post. There will be no agenda, just coffee, pastries, and the opportunity to get to know one another. The post extends a big thank you to the many businesses that have helped them with the rising cost of grocery items.
