HORN IN THE WEST BEGINS 70TH SEASON FRIDAY NIGHT
Horn In The West will open it's 70th season this Friday night July 1 at the Daniel Boone Amphitheatre.
Horn in the West brings to life the famous frontiersman Daniel Boone and the hardy mountain settlers of the Blue Ridge Mountains in their struggle to preserve their freedom during the years before and during the War for Independence.
Horn in the West is presented nightly except Mondays, July 1 through August 13, and is a production of the Southern Appalachian Historical Association.
The show starts at 8:00 p.m. with the house gate opening at 7:30 p.m. The show runs approximately 2 hours with intermission.
Friday and Saturday nights July 1 and 2, are Watauga County Nights. Watauga County residents get in for only $7.00.
This weekend there will also be special Independence Day activities at the adjacent Hickory Ridge History Museum, on Saturday and Sunday.
