Blowing Rock Trout Derby, Easter Egg Hunt Saturday April 1
Saturday April 1 is the annual Blowing Rock Trout Derby.
You're invited to celebrate opening day of trout season in the village with some friendly fishing competition and prizes. It begins at sunrise April 1 and ends at 4 pm. Trout caught in any PUBLIC Watauga County body of water on April 1st are eligible to be entered. Mayview Lake at Broyhill Park in Blowing Rock is open to children 11 and under and persons with disabilities. +

If you're not into fishing, you can still have fun Saturday. Blowing Rock Parks and Recreation invites kids to the annual Easter Egg Hunt, Saturday April 1 at 10 am at Memorial Park. Have your picture taken with the Easter Bunny, and take part in hunts for three different age groups.
