Avery County Budget Public Hearing Set For June 5 Meeting

The Avery County Board of Commissioners proposed 2023-2024 fiscal year budget totals more than $37 million dollars and includes no overall tax increase, but does reflect a 1 cent fire tax increase.
The tax rate for Avery is 40 cents per $100 dollar valuation.
The Avery Commissioners will hold a public hearing concerning the budget at its June meeting.
The public hearing will be at 4 pm Monday June 5 in the board room at Avery County Administrative Complex, 175 Linville Street, Newland.
