Voter Registrations sway towards Republican and Unaffiliated in NC

With the 2022 midterm elections crawling slowly toward us, more and more people are registering to vote.

As of now the Republican and unaffiliated voter registrations are far exceeding Democrat and other parties in North Carolina. Democrat registrations trailed behind Republicans by nearly half while most of the new registrations were unaffiliated. As of September 3 Democrats gained 452 registered voters, Republicans added an extra 866 voters, while a total of 4,362 voters were unaffiliated.  A total of 155,052 registrations this year brings the total to 2,489,342 voters for Democrats as well as 2,211,832 voters for Republicans.
