Candlelight Vigil to be Held in honor of Refugees

On September 21 at 6 PM Appalachian State University will be holding a candlelight vigil to bring awareness to refugees from around the world.

This day was established in 1981 by the United Nations as international day of peace. The candlelight vigil will be held on Sanford mall in the center of the app state campus. Amy Hudnall senior a lecture in the department of history will be speaking at this event. She specializes in courses on peace studies as well as genocide.
