Halloween Movies being Added to Cinema Classic Series

We’ve discussed many times the cinema classic series being held at the Appalachian Theater in High Country.

However there has been a development in their fall movie run. The original plan was to play movie musicals in September, sci-fi films in October, westerns in November, and classic Christmas films in December. According to Appalachian theater executive Director Suzanne Livesay they had so many suggestions for Halloween movies they decided to add a second tier list leading up to the holiday. For their Halloween additions they will be playing “Hocus Pocus” on Tuesday September 27, days before the release of it's sequel. It will be followed on October 20 by “Twilight”, then “Ghostbusters” will be shown on October 28, and finally concluding the Halloween series with Tim Burton’s “The Nightmare Before Christmas” on October 30th.
