Appstate Students Visit Peru to Study Climate Change
One dozen Appalachian state university students took a scientific expedition to the Andes in Peru to study the impacts of climate change.
The expedition was from July 6-22 with the supervision of National Geographic explorer and department of geography and planning at Appalachian State University Dr. Baker Perry. The primary goal of the expedition was to set up a weather station installation in the area. This expedition was part of a larger two year exploration of the Amazon river basin expanding the Andes to the Atlantic.
