BLOWING ROCK WATER MAIN REPAIRED, BOIL WATER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT

Blowing Rock Public Works repaired the broken water line that left the town without water for most of the day Monday.
The leak was repaired around 8 pm Monday night, despite some delays from passing thunderstorms and rising waters in the creek bed near Chetola Resort, where the break occurred.
The town's water will gradually be restored, however the Boil Water Advisory remains in effect until water tests allow the town to lift the advisory.
Remember there will be air in the water lines, so as water service returns, be sure to let the cold water run until the water flows with consistent pressure.
