A Man Died Searching for his Lost Dog

A man died searching for his dog on Beech Mountain December 22nd.

Beech Mountain Police Chief Tim Barnett reported that the Beech Mountain 911 Communications Center got a call about a unresponsive man at 156 Chestnut way. The mans family said that he went looking for their missing dog and later found him lying on the ground. The authorities found the man in an embankment unresponsive and not breathing. Watauga EMS transported the man to Cannon Memorial Hospital where he died of his injuries. The families missing dog showed up five days after going missing.
