Chancellor Sheri Everts discussed "Game Day" effect on Appstate

Appstate held a December Board of Trustees meeting where board members discussed updates on university operations.

Chancellor Sheri Everts talked about how the sports show College GameDay affected the university. She said the show “has been valued by our team as having a conservative advertising value equivalency of more than $364,650,000.” She also commented saying “We prominently placed “Apply Now” links on all of our College GameDay publicity and have already seen an increase in applications of 25%,” Everts said in her remarks to the board. “We expect to see additional increases in enrollment, fundraising and media interest in the work of our faculty, staff and students as a result of this unprecedented publicity for App State.” Other things discussed at the meeting included the UNC System Board of Governors new performance-based funding model for System institutions, and a new housing master plan and demand study.
