Middle School Students Can Apply Now for UNC and NC State Summer Camp Scholarships offered by Blue Ridge Energy
Blue Ridge Energy, one of North Carolina's Touchstone Energy Cooperatives, is offering a unique opportunity for rising sixth through eighth grade students.
The organization is giving away full scholarships to attend one of two all-expense-paid summer basketball camps at UNC-Chapel Hill and N.C. State University. The scholarships cover everything from lodging to food to instruction from Division 1 coaches. The Carolina Basketball Camp for young men will take place from June 17-21 at UNC-Chapel Hill, while the Wolfpack Women's Basketball Camp for young ladies will take place from June 18-22 at N.C. State University in Raleigh. The camps offer an exciting glimpse into college life, as campers will stay overnight in college dorms and receive instruction on both basketball skills and life skills. To apply, students must submit an application by March 31, which will be judged on their academics, extra-curricular activities, and an accompanying essay. The selected students will join around 50 other rising sixth through eighth graders from across the state at the basketball camps.
