Art at Turchin Center brings awareness to Invasive Species

Local artist April Flanders recently curated an exhibit at the Turchin Center to raise awareness about the global issue of invasive species. Combining science and art, Flanders' work aims to bring attention to a problem that is often overlooked in ecosystems.

The exhibit features a variety of prints representing invasive species, ranging from the grey squirrel to Japanese Knotweed, which is known to cause damage to foundations of houses in Great Britain. Flanders said this exhibit is a powerful reminder of the need to take action when it comes to preserving the environment and protecting against invasive species. It is a testament to the power of art to bring awareness to a global issue and to inspire people to make a difference.
