The North Carolina State Highway Patrol has announced it will maintain its national law enforcement accreditation through CALEA
The North Carolina State Highway Patrol has announced that it will maintain its national law enforcement accreditation through the Commission on Law Enforcement for Accreditation (CALEA).
In a bid to receive public feedback, the agency has launched the CALEA Portal, which provides an opportunity for citizens of North Carolina to submit comments related to the agency's compliance with CALEA standards, engagement with the service community, delivery of public safety services, and overall candidacy for accreditation status. The portal is not intended for investigatory purposes, and comments can be in the form of commendations or concerns. While there will be no response other than acknowledgement to submissions, the information will be considered in the context of its relevancy to compliance with standards and the tenets of CALEA® Accreditation. Interested parties can find the standard titles on the CALEA website, and questions regarding the accreditation process can be directed to the Accreditation Manager, Michelle Partin, at This email address is being protected from spambots.
