Watauga High School has announced that they will hold their graduation ceremony for the Class of 2023 on Friday, June 2, at 5:30 p.m.
The ceremony will take place at the Holmes Convocation Center, located on the campus of Appalachian State University in Boone. The last day of school for the 2022-23 academic year will be on Thursday, June 1. The school administration will release more details about other graduation-related events like senior breakfast and baccalaureate services in the coming weeks. The Superintendent of Watauga County Schools, Scott Elliott, expressed his excitement about celebrating the achievements of the graduating seniors and their families. He also expressed his gratitude to Appalachian State University for partnering with them to host the graduation ceremony at the Convocation Center. Elliott believes that graduation is an excellent opportunity to acknowledge the students' hard work and also to recognize the educators and family members who have supported them throughout their academic journey.
