Mountaineers beat Troy in Miracle at the Mountain 2

On Saturday a crowd of 34,406 fans gathered in Kidd Brewer Stadium for the Appstate vs Troy game. This was a historic day for the Mountaineers because the nationally televised college pregame show GameDay broadcast from Sanford mall. The Mountaineers beat Troy this past weekend 32 to 28. Country music star and AppState graduate Luke Combs could be found both on the GameDay panel as well as in the tailgating crowd cheering on the mountaineers. After the mountaineers claimed victory many fans jumped the perimeter fence, damaging it and storming the field. Several injuries have been reported, though fortunately none were serious.
